Rugby for Heroes are kicking off the new year with a Family Fun Run, so if you are looking to start the year on a high, this event is for you. Those attending will be joining the charity on Sunday 28th January at Sir Thomas Rich’s School & Old Richians RFC.
Don’t worry if you aren’t a runner, the courses are adapted for all fitness abilities so you can walk or run and you can take part with friends, take the kids, have a catch-up with family while you walk or even bring the dog along. Those who want to take part can either walk or run in the 3k, 5k or 10k.
Rugby for Heroes also have some special guests in attendance. The charities patrons, former England Rugby and I’m a Celeb star Mike Tindall MBE, and TV presenter and DIY SOS host Nick Knowles, will be there cheering on those taking part.
As well as the races, free t-shirts will be given out, there will be entertainment, attractions and stalls available for all.
All money raised on the day will go towards the charity.
Rugby for Heroes works with the rugby community to raise funds and awareness for military personnel who are making the transition to civilian life. We are committed to providing financial and personal support, to help individuals overcome the many challenges that this transition presents.
This event is sponsored by Howard Tenens.
