The event was made possible through the generous sponsorship of JHA Architecture, along with support from Adjacency Recruitment Group and The Cluberly App for their invaluable contributions.
“We are humbled by the incredible turnout and the overwhelming sense of community that continues to grow around our mission to support veterans. We extend our deepest thanks to Mike Tindall and all the businesses and individuals that participated in making this day a success,” said Trustee Miles Greenslade.
Attendees included prominent businesses such as Burhouse Construction, Watsons Groundworks, Bellagio Stone Ltd, Adjacency Recruitment Group, G&M Construction, RLX Construction, and RLB Construction, among others. Their support and participation were pivotal in ensuring the day was not only enjoyable but also a meaningful contribution to the ongoing mission of supporting veterans.
This year’s event also saw returning support from former players of the Battle of the Balls Football charity match, held earlier in the year. Players such as actor Matt Lapinskas and influencers Coach Harry Cain, Josh Hill, and Ashley Howell were present, continuing their dedication to the cause.
The event featured a lively auction led by trustee Simon Bailey, offering unique prizes such as:
– A four-ball with dinner alongside rugby star Geordan Murphy, kindly donated by Hallmark Hotels and The Welcombe Golf Club,
– Signed bottles of Black Eye Gin by Mike Tindall,
– Cases from The Rugby Wine Club,
– Original artwork by Daniella Celine Williams,
– And many more exclusive items.
“The auction was a tremendous success, with all proceeds going directly towards our efforts to assist veterans in their transition to civilian life,” added Simon Bailey.
Our main sponsor expressed their gratitude: “It was once again an honour for JHA Architecture to host our annual Golf Day in support of Rugby for Heroes. Supporting such a fantastic charity,
which does incredible work for our armed forces veterans, is something we take great pride in. The event brought together so many passionate individuals, and it was a pleasure to see Mike Tindall and hear his truly inspiring interview. His words reinforced the importance of the cause, and we are grateful to have been a part of this meaningful day. Everyone had a fantastic time, and thankfully, the weather stayed on our side, making it an all-round success.”
All interviews and footage from the event, hosted by the talented Sophia May, will be available shortly on rugbyforheroes.tv.
The Rugby for Heroes Charity Golf Day continues to be an integral event in raising funds and awareness for veterans, with all proceeds supporting essential programs that aid their reintegration into civilian life. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who contributed, attended, and helped make the event a resounding success.
