I came in with a player mind-set and was completely turned upside down by the wealth of knowledge that I have to take in regarding safety and coaching skills and technique which I was fortunate to be taught. I have now acquired this qualification and knowledge and would like to utilise it in my local community rugby club so I could give back to the community and make myself useful.
Gloucestershire businesses unite to support veterans’ transition into civilian careers.
Rugby For Heroes, a local charity supporting service personnel as they transition into civilian life, has joined forces with businesses in Gloucester and Cheltenham to host Beyond the Uniform, an inaugural networking event for ex-military professionals. The event took place at The Roastery in Quedgeley Business Park, bringing together key figures from the business community to create career pathways for veterans.
