Rugby for Heroes hosted their first Healthy Eating event at Gloucester Rugby Football Club on March the 7th we’re a host of sporting celebrity’s joined us for the evening. Mike Tindall, Ryan Lamb and Andy Goode were representing the charity alongside our official ambassadors – Gold Medalist Amy Williams and Para-Olympian Mellisa Nicholls.

The evening was aimed at promoting healthy eating from both a sporting and Military perspective. The event started with a drinks reception in the famous Cherry and Whites changing rooms.
Afterwards, enjoying a sumptuous three course meal prepared by the chefs from the Raf base Brize Norton – followed by some great entertainment from a ‘surprise’ singing waiter! To round the evening off we had a Q&A open mic session hosted by the former Osprey head coach Sean Holly.

A fabulous evening was had by all and we raised over £9000, a portion of which was pound matched by Barclay’s Bank and their managers who were helping out with the evening.

We are looking forward to the next one where there will be even more surprises ahead I’m sure!
