The 9th November 2017 saw our patron Mike Tindall host a fantastic evening’s entertainment at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Guests were treated to an evening of fine dining accompanied by a Q&A with Mike and friends from the world of sport and entertainment. Charity ambassador Thinus Delport’s job as MC was made easier by the brilliant stories shared by our guests including Olympic gold medallist Amy Williams, actor Julian Lewis Jones, and TV presenters Nick Knowles and Rav Wilding. Not to be outdone, our patron Mike Tindall, charity ambassador and ex GB and England rugby league international Keith Senior, and ex-Wales international Ryan Jones enjoyed plenty of Anglo-Welsh banter with a few digs at the 13-man game thrown in for good measure.
We were privileged to also be joined by a number of serving military personnel, who had the opportunity to relax amongst friends and supporters of the charity, and experience first-hand the generosity of those who make the charity’s work possible.
An unforgettable charity auction, led by our chairman-cum-auctioneer Simon Bailey, was a busy affair and in total the event raised more than £78,000 for Rugby for Heroes. Outstanding!
A massive thanks to all our sponsors and supporters on making the event such a huge success. Your continued support is hugely appreciated by everyone involved in, and supported by, the charity.
Look out for 2018 dates to be announced soon. We would love you to join us.
